![]() ![]() Here are the best uncommons and commons for the Prismari draft archetype:ġ2. Note that I’m not including any of the colorless Lesson cards that any deck can pretty much use in this list, and these cards are not ranked in any particular order. In this article, I will talk about the 12 best uncommons and commons for Prismari in Strixhaven draft. While there are some uncommons and commons I wish I drafted, I think this Prismari deck was consistent enough to deploy my late-game threat: Elemental Mastery. QUICK DRAFT STRIXHAVEN GUIDE PLUSSmall creatures Prismari Apprentice and Hall Monitor can help bring early damage in thanks to their evasion abilities, and I think they’re fantastic targets for the Lesson card Expanded Anatomy, which gives two +1+1 counters on target creature and gives it vigilance until end of turn, plus since it’s a sorcery, it triggers Prismar’s Apprentice’s Magecraft. I think the main goal of Prismari in draft is to play some early threats while gaining tempo and card advantage with Learn and Lesson cards. My two rares are Dream Strix and Efreet Flamepainter, which helped me win some of the games, but my main win condition was a common: Elemental Masterpiece, and I managed to draft 3 copies of it. Learn cards like my 2 copies of Academic Dispute, Igneous Inspiration, and Enthusiastic Study helped me gain card advantage while providing answers to opponent’s threats. ![]() There are also a few Lesson cards in my sideboard (not shown here) like Expanded Anatomy, Introduction to Annihilation, Introduction to Prophecy, and Fractal Summoning, but I did not end up drafting a single copy of Elemental Summoning, which I think is a strong early pick for a common card. Lost to a Silverquill and Witherbloom #MTGArena #prismari #MagicTheGathering /2VFEAxDM4s- Jake Vyper April 21, 2021 I also found watching streamers that it was heavily contested and drafted so I expect it to be hard to put together but will be pleasantly surprised if I end up wrong. My first 7 wins Strixhaven Draft is the way to go.Įlemental Masterpiece and Academic Dispute are just too good. Quandrix and Quandrix splashing or splashing into Quandrix seems like the best school to me, but was way overdrafted in my 30 drafts. If your draft is off the rails this can be your safety valve. Witherbloom seems like the easy "just take what's best and end up in something" school. My Prismari decks pretty much only lose to Lorehold equaling out on tempo and then leaning harder into red burn than the izzet value. It doesn't have the card quality of the other colleges but being constantly open it's often the right college to go into. I have my best win percentage with it despite it also being my most drafted school. Prismari has enough good cards that there's two different versions of the school and there's usually a lane toward both or at least one of them. That being said, the stats say to force Silverquill if you're not getting an easy open lane. ![]() Silverquill seems viable to force most of the time, similar to past aggro strategies, but it does benefit from key Uncommons and (in my experience) struggles specifically against Witherbloom which is easy to draft. Silverquill, Prismari, and Lorehold seem underdrafted. ![]()
